We are happy to announce that our press release this morning was a huge success! We had a great turnout and received a lot of media attention. We were very excited to finally be able to announce our collaboration with the United States Naval Research Laboratory and unveil our satellite prototype to the public!

Thank you to Mayor Don Atchison, Dr. Glenn Hussey, and Dr. Ernie Barber for speaking at our event; we truly appreciate your support. We are also very grateful to everyone who took the time out of their day to stop by our event–it wouldn’t have been as successful as it was without you!

Press Release

The University of Saskatchewan Space Design Team is hosting a press release on February 16 at 9:30am in Convocation Hall to make an announcement about the future of our team. In addition, we will be sending off a group of our teammates as they journey to Ottawa on February 19. These members will be presenting the design of the USST’s nanosatellite to a panel of judges at the Canadian Space Agency’s David Florida Lab as part of the Canadian Satellite Design Challenge. We hope to see you there!

Canadian Undergraduate Physics Conference

In just a few days, our team president, Aarya Shahsavar, will be speaking at the Canadian Undergraduate Physics Conference. Aarya will be talking about the measurement of total electron content of ionospheric plasma using nanosatellites. We wish him luck!

Preliminary Design Review

Earlier this month, we had the preliminary design review for the satellite we’ve been working on as part of the Canadian Satellite Design Challenge. We’re happy to say that it went very well and that our design has been fully approved!
