Engineering and Design
We are always looking for new members from any engineering discipline. Students outside of engineering such as computer science or physics students are always welcome to join the team. Though we invite those from any discipline or faculty below is an outline of some the tasks members perform under the two different broad design teams. Individual learning and contributions to the design is up to the individual.
Mechanical Design Team
- Main structure
- Method of mobility including motor control
- Robotic arm design
- Sample collection
Electrical Design Team
- Sensor output analysis
- Power Systems
- Logic development
- User interface and control
- Hardware development
While the experiment requires both mechanical and electrical design inputs, it also requires those with interest in, or experience in biology, microbiology, chemistry and various sample analysis methods.
